Vyc awesome nite awesome God!!

Everyone needs compassion,
Love that's never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.

Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Saviour;
The Hope of nations.

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.

Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as You find me,
All my fears and failures,
Fill my life again.

I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in,
Now I surrender.

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave. (x2)

Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King...Jesus (x2)

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave. (x2)

Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King...Jesus. (x4)

As always I love VYC's for those that dont know already they are a monthly youth event where different youth groups and leaders get together and have a good time praising God!! Tonight was no exception was a great nite!! Young people giving God the glory and wanting to know him more and serve him more its amazing!!

Tonights message was simple and Im writing it here for all to see, as its not just for the youth or me and mine but is for everyone!! God wants all to come to know him and love him as he loves everyone!!!!

the points were

a) ACCEPT, accept Jesus as your saviour, into your heart as your God and king,

b) BELIEVE, believe that He is a big God that he died for your sins that he made heaven and earth and all in it.

c) COMMIT, commit your lives to him, give him your all, receive and accept what God has planned for you and act on your calling.

Simple a,b,c. That's all he asks and he's done so much for us! God wants us to follow him, he is the only way! If your wondering what's this life all about? Is this it? Then come to know God he has so much more than what the world has to offer!!

I was asked today how I have changed since becoming a Christian, I said simply I'm still me!! But a better version! That's what God has done in me! Without him I'm nothing! Then I was asked what a difference knowing God has made in my life, and why I'm a Christian. I answered, God is someone that's always there for me, no matter what, when or where, he forgives me and loves me for who I am, he's someone I can rely on, he helps me day to day throughout my life. He's awesome!! People seem to think that when you become a Christian your like some alien being LOL, unable to have fun, or relate to people that are not Christians thats so untrue!

As I've said already but am gonna say again God isn't just for me and mine he's for YOU too!!! He accepts you as you are, Dont ever think your not good enough for God no matter what he's mighty to save as the song says, he forgives all sins!! He's the best!!

Be blessed!! xxxx:)

Hope '08

Here I am again and has been a while, what can I say I'm a busy woman hehe. Just wanna share about some amazing things that have been going on at my church, Aberaman Pentecostal church that is. Why do I wanna share? Well because it's good news and lets face it we dont hear enough good news these days, I find the news really depressing!! But it's real and is what is going on in the world around us! Anyway here I go again going off on a tangent LOL. My news:) We had planned a missions weekend at our Church, that had been planned since the beginning of the year almost. The evangelist team at my church, invited a team of outside evangelists to come to our Church for a weekend and co-ordinated meetings for these days and special events and services for all ages!! I have to say a lot of work and effort was put in by these guys and lots of others at the church!!! Brill work u guys!!

This weekend (well 4 days actually) took place at the beginning of this month, seemed like forever that we waited for it to come, then poof it was there!! As a church we prayed that people would come, leaflets went though doors, posters in windows, in workplaces and shops. (had some in my work but sadly no one came). The kids put them up in their schools, lots of them LOL even on the cars hehe. The heading on this notice, *Hope '08 at Aberaman* then on the bottom it said, *Miracles still happen today*.The team that came was led by Marilyn Harry (who is an international evangelist and is Welsh too!! Fab lady!!) with her she had a team from all over the UK all lovely people!

The Thursday was the 1st day with a Mums n Tots group, a prayer and healing meeting and a gathering in the night as an ice breaker to meet the team and have food! (love food and meeting people of course). The Mums n Tots saw lots of new people, the afternoon meeting saw someone come to know Jesus and someone be healed!! The evening get together was lovely too, the team were just lovely, so warm and welcoming and very encouraging!!

The Friday, a coffee morning, which saw again a lot of people, and these people didn't just have a coffee then leave (as people often do) but they stayed until it was over, happy, relaxed and chatting in the house of God!! As everyone should be!. Details of the afternoon meeting am not sure of but am sure all that went were blessed, it was another prayer and healing meeting. The night was then the youth event!! (wooo hooo) I work with the youth hence my enthusiasm!! :D Theyr a great bunch!! Love ya all!! For a while leading up to this night things have been relatively quiet at youth, steady but quiet. You may say well this is a good thing, yes it means our jobs are easier, but i prefer the manic, madness of a full house of kids from outside the church!! As then I feel we are doing what we are there for, reaching the lost yes!! Well the Fri night was pretty busy!!!! Lots of new people came, my daughter Tam invited her mate from School too. There was the team, a band (woo hoo, which consisted of the youth!!! and of course my handsome talented nephew on bass!!) They were really good!! We had a guest speaker for the night, a young lady from Newport who had an amazing testimony of how God had touched her life! I didn't get to hear it all, that's another story, which I will share in a bit, but in order I wanna say the good first!! She shared how she'd been through a life on the streets, and how she had been on drugs etc. (sorry details are vague as I said I missed it). And God had changed her, she was so exitable and happy, u could see God had done a great work in her!! the kids just sat mouths open watching her as she moved around talking! Then there was an appeal for any that wanted to come to know Jesus. Well 4 I believe went forward,( but i think this number increased to 7 afterwards) 1 of these was Tams mate!! others of our youth went forward for prayer too, It was awesome! I had the privelege of leading a young lady from our Church to come to know Jesus. No one wanted to go home, It was such a great atmosphere and I know what it was, It was God at work in peoples lives. ! young man went forward who had been a real pain the week before and was really quite aggressive, and now he has a bible and is getting on great with everyone, and get this!!! has been apologising to anyone he has been nasty or rude too!! how God works on and in people!! Hehe hes a great kid!! They all are!! Many that didnt make a decision that night have since come back for more youth, so we have a new bunch of young people coming which is fab!!

Right back to why I missed the speaker, I was on door duty! With my beloved hubby, who's job it is every week to man the doors (basically he's the bouncer). This may sound harsh for a church youth group, but believe me u gotta see it to know why we need him there!! That night he called me for assistance, as there was a gang of girls out there too of which were extremely drunk. Im not gonna say too much about this, just that he was concerned. Things got a bit ruff with the 1 girl, she ended up being cuffed and taken by the police, the other I rang her mother to collect her, she was very emotional. Both of these girls are in care, and it was awful to see how vulnerable, and distraught these 2 were, just needing and craving to forget about their lives, and to have what we all want someone to love them and make them feel secure!! This came on the same night that all the good things happened inside, why I wondered, as me and hub went home feeling drained emotionally, after the buzz and exitement of what went on indoors, to this outside. Well maybe it happened to try and discourage us, an attack because we were doing something good for Jesus, either way it made me feel more determined than ever before!!!!!! That what we do there every Friday at youth is so important because people need to hear about God!!!

Saturday came, I was told that the am. Kids club was really great!! Lots came and enjoyed!! Again not sure of how the afternoon went. The night was another meeting, lots came, lots went forward for prayer for healing, and I believe 3 or 4 gave their hearts and lives to Jesus!! We did our drama (I was in it too!! and Tam!) the live and death of Jesus!! Powerful drama!! The crucifixion part is truly moving and equally awful, but thats what happened what our Jesus did for us right!!

Sunday the last day. (I missed the morning one we went to another church!! SHOCK!! LOL to support good mates of ours!!! My bezzie mate Jayne's hub was preachin. We had a great time there!!) the meeting was at 4 pm in the afternoon, again lots there and lots went forward again for prayer and baptism in the Holy Spirit. Was a great meeting, had the privelege of praying for and with someone that wanted to put their life back right with God. Then thats it the end, they all went home and the weekend was over!

Since then as I said the youth that came have come back, Tams mate is going on with God and learning, reading her bible she's a great gal!! And is being encouraged by her mate Tam (whos fab!!) Sometimes when something like this happens tho it can leave you feeling deflated afterwards, like right whats next and what do we do now, and what have we got to look forward to now. Like after a hol somewhere hot, or after Christmas (as I love Christmas) :) Well thats how i have felt anyway. But then i thought right the God that was there when the team came wasnt only there because they brought him was he??? NOOOOOOOO of course not, he moved because we prayed he would and all of us together wanted the same thing, hearts of one accord, let's see you move God!! faith to believe he would and he did!! He is still here, he still wants to move, this weekend wasnt to come and then all go back to normal NO!! God wants us to carry on the work he has began, this weekend was to show us that yes miracles do happen, hellooooo u guys I'm alive and here waitng wanting to touch peoples lives!! It was a kick up the bum and the push and encouragement i needed to carry on pushing running the race back for God!! He needs us all to do the same for others to be reached.

Wel thats about it for today, for those that love Jesus already I pray that this has been an encouragement to you!! For those that dont know him, he's awesome really!!, he's made a difference in my life and I can't imagine life without him ever!! He may not change what we are going through, life is still tough and eventful, but he makes the difference as he's always there!! Never changes!! guiding me, helping me, re-assuring me!! he loves me like no other can ever!! Sure Im not perfect and those that know me know that hehe (too well u prob say!) but God doesnt condemn me, I know Im a sinner and am only saved because of him and his love for me!! On my own Im nothing!! A hopeles case!! But in him Im a new creation!! Im a beautiful creation that he loves and cares for and he died for me and you too!!

Thats all folks be blessed :) xxxxx

Just more thoughts :)

Been reading me bible last few days am in Leviticus, its pretty hard going but hey its God's word! The offerings Im reading at the moment, oh boy the detail, the exact procedures and ceremonies that have to be followed, the killing, shedding of so much blood, the amount of different ones for different sins (even unintentional sins, the different sacrifices for different people too. Then came a devotion after a few chapters. It was something like this......

We are not perfect just as people wern't perfect all them years ago, we sin unintentionally,we cant go a day without sinning, but even though God is the same God we don't have to shed blood or go through these rituals of offerings, because when God sent his son to die on that cross his sacrifice covered all our sins!! He paid our debt for us! His death was a declaration that we are not guilty! So no other sacrifices are required one has been made for us on our behalf, the ultimate sacrifice!!
What must we do? Just ask God to show us our sins and ask that he will forgive them, we need to confess our sins, say thankyou to God!! He deserves the praise of our lips too!! Our lives as service to him, to tell others about him and help others whenever we can. Not alot to ask me thinks :)

What really spoke to me *not that any of the above didn't* was the next part of the devotion about guilt! Im awful for always battling with myself and feeling guilty, in short i do my own head in!! Some examples, the school holiday, I have to work only 3 days but still, I have to leave the kids with my in laws *who are fab*, I feel guilty tho, I dont wanna leave my kids, I miss them, they miss me, I dont want to add more work for the in laws, as they are busy and getting older, Then if i enjoy work i feel guilty that I shouldn't be as I should be home enjoying time with the family. Arghhhhh and thats just one example, theres more, if I nag the kids too much, or not enough, *hub too*, if I don't spend enough time with them, if I don't help out enough with in laws dog, if i don't spend enough time with God, or give as much of me as I can to other people. Sometimes we think we are superwomen!! LOL *we are the better species tho* Jokes aside this guilt is annoying and can drag me down, some is just guilt, most is not!! And what does God say?? *Your not guilty!!* His blood covers all sin!! So we have to leave all our guilt and worries at his feet, confess and thank and move on!! *Seek ye first his kingdom and all these things shall follow* Luke 12. I hope and pray this touches someone else too, remember no ones perfect and you cant be all to everyone either!! Just remember too Your not guilty!! xx

Finding our way in life

Just wanna share a few thoughts that have blessed me over the last few days, weeks, maybe months cant remember exactly but it starts with a song that has been really jumping out at me the words..... the band Barlow girls

All of You is more than enough for
All of me for every thirst and every need
You satisfy me with Your love
And all I have in You
Is more than enough

You are my supply
My breath of life
Still more awesome than I know
You are my reward
Worth living for
Still more awesome than I know

Cuz All of you is more than enough for all of me
for every thirst and every need
you satisfy me with your love
and all I have in you is more than enough

You're my sacrifice of greatest price
Still more awesome than I know
You're my coming King You're everything
Still more awesome than I know

All of you is more than enough for all of me
for every thirst and every need
you satisfy me with your love
and all I have in you is more than enough

All of you is more than enough for all of me
for every thirst and every need
you satisfy me with your love
and all I have in you is more than enough

Your enough, your enough, your enough for me
your enough, your enough, your enough for me
your enough, your enough, your enough for me
your enough, your enough, your enough for me
your enough, your enough, your enough for me
your enough, your enough, your enough for me
your enough, your enough, your enough for me
your enough, your enough, your enough for me
your enough, your enough, your enough for me

This song is another example of songs we can listen to and sing and believe but not really take a hold of *speaking for me anyways*.This last few weeks and months I've been looking at my life,at myself and all things around me. Sometimes we all do that like re assess what we are, what we're about where we're going what we're here for, what are we going to do etc.... Well I began to think along these lines *Is this it? Is this my life? etc* I've looked at where I am in my walk with God, my role in my church , my purpose, my relationships with my family and friends, my job, questioning my happiness. You know as humans we can be so selfish sometimes, we have so much yet we want more and more!! Allthough I do think that it's good to look and see where we're going as long as the outcome is positive :) As my outcome has been I'd like to add!!

Maybe it's my age, or just where I am right now for God to speak to me who knows am just being honest and sharing how I feel...... Well before I bore you and dont get to my conclusion here it comes.... YES ther'es more to come, more for me and my house, God hasn't finished with me yet!!! Or maybe not even started what he has in store for me!! Yes my life may be changing, things in my church are changing, we need a pastor and I see lots of stuff going to transpire *some good some not so good* my kids are growing up and don't need me quite as much. my hub and me may have different interests and jobs, But the big BUT!! in my life is that God is still alive!!! He's still the same!!! and he wants to use me and I know that for sure so no mater what may come as the song says *when mountains fall I'll stand by the power of your hand* Im gonna live my life for God and instead of fearing the changes that are to come I'm ready and know I'm gonna be equipped for whatever may come my way and I'm exited for what God has in store for me!! :D

Back to the song God is enough for me just read the words they'r awesome!! If you really take a hold of God in your life he is all that you need and can satisfy every thirst and every need with his love and he is more than enough!!!!He gives meaning to my life *where am I without him*??? *what do I have without him*??? He gives my life a purpose *to serve him all I can* Change brings about insecurities in allot of people I know I'm not alone, But God brings positive changes and plans not to harm us but to prosper us!! He's just awesome!! He doesn't change!! He's the most consistent thing in my life!! I have a reason to live and breathe and to sing his praises! He has set me free, broken the chains of sin! Given me salvation sacrificed his son, for all things in my life.. my family, my friends, my church, the youth group, my home, my pets, my work, my daily blessings from his word, through worship, through time spent in prayer... he's always there and wherever I look I see his wonders..

I just wanna thank God for making me see that he's more than enough for me and I want to make a difference in this world so if anyone reading this doesn't know God and wants to know more just ask please!!! He really is an amazing God!

Psalm 23

Psalm 23 one I know off by heart, have known since I was a lil kid, we probably all know it but sometimes we can learn things so matter of factly and miss what is being said to us............... well I do. :)

So I have looked at it over again and have been blessed at what God has been telling me through this scripture.

God is our shepherd, we are his sheep, he looks after us and out for us all the time! WE are his and HE is ours. We shall not want for anything, because he provides us with all that we need. The world has lots of things to offer and tempt us, but all are temporary no real substance, nothing that will last. Gods gifts are eternal!!!! :)

He makes me lie down in green pastures, I picture a serene place of rest, a luscious green pasture of grass, healthy and green, growing, flourishing. A place where we can find peace and relax and find comfort. Leads us beside the still waters, peaceful, quiet, clean and pure waters, refreshing, flowing. He leads the way and shows us where to go. It's up to us if we follow.

He restores my soul if we ask him to come into our hearts and lives, he forgives our sins. He died on the cross for us, gave his life, the ultimate sacrifice, so that we can be restored. He wants to make us whole, restored, renewed, complete in him! He heals our broken hearts and lives and transforms us into new creations in him. :)

He guides us in paths, he's with us each and every step of the way, he's always there!!! He walks with us and talks with us, and is there in all circumstances good and bad! He leads us when we seek his face, through prayer and reading his word, as we work on our relationship with him we become more like him :)

Even though we may be walking through shadows and dark circumstances, we need not fear, he knows all about it and he's there with us. All we need to do is trust in him, he's protecting us because we are his. He sends his Holy Spirit to bring us comfort in hard times. He loves us!

He has prepared a table before us, a banquet a feast. God has great things instore for us, if only we seek his face. He annoints us, blessing us, our cup overflows, our lives full of him, so that we are overflowing and others will see how great God is! He has a plan to prosper us not harm us.

Goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. God is good! He's not just a now God or a yesterday God, he's a forever GOD!! Eternal! Always the same:) He's a God of love and mercy, through his mercy we are saved. If we come to him with our lives and ask him in. And we will live with him forever in heaven, a home that he has prepared for us :)

He can satisfy all our needs! bring us happiness:D we can have his presence with us each and every day! Amen :) xx

Giving thanks :)

Reading for today 1Thess5v18 Give thanks in all circumstances for this is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus.

Easy to say and to sing I guess, but not as easy to put into practise........ why??? because life is hard! sometimes often times all the time or just now and again........ regardless of how much or what it is that makes it hard, whether heartache or hurt, illness or problems, worries or stress and strains lifes no bed of roses. but........... God asks that we give him thanks whatever it is we're going through, it's his will that we do this!

So why should we? what can we gain by doing so? more importantly what does God gain? well God wants us to center our thoughts and lives on him! 2 live for him to give him glory in all we do and after all doesn't he deserve our very best? While we were still in sin he died for us! he lay down his life. He has made us new creations, new beings transformed filled with his Holy Spirit, We are God's chosen people now isn't that a reason to give thanks:) We are joint heirs with Christ. Collosians 3 the end bit, do everything with grattitude its God were serving!

If we give thanks we lift our own spirits as well as blessing God , we look to him Psalm I will lift my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord maker of heaven and earth...... we are able to move on from whatever it is that we are going through, to make progress, to reach our full potential in God, to fullfill his promises and purposes he has for us!

It dont matter what we've done, what's happened what's gone has gone, God forgives and moves on so can we. :) Today is what matters and as for me and mine I'm gonna give God my best! Give thanks even though I don't feel like it, even if it hurts, after all Christ has suffered far more for me when he gave his life for me so that I can be saved!! :)

Assemblies of God UK Statement of faith

Just thought would be a good thing to post what it is i stand for and believe by putting up the Assemblies of God UK statement of faith. It's only something that I've looked at recently (ashamed 2 say) as we have been given them in my house group, to look at one section at a time. It's been a real blessing and encouragement and i think it's a good thing to know what i stand for and what we're all about :) so here goes..

First it states that it, "Will give every man, woman and child, the opportunity of understanding the gospel, and to provide a church where they can grow in ministry for the glory of God"

1. We believe that the bible, (old and new testament) is the inspired word of God, the infalliable, all sufficient rule of faith and practise. (2 Tim. 3 v 15-16, 2 Peter 1 v 21).

2. We believe in the unity of the One True Living God who is the Eternal Self-Existent "I AM". Who has also revealed Himself as One being co-existing in 3 persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit, (Deut.6v4, Mark 12v 29, Matt 28v19, 2Cor 13.14).

3. We believe in the virgin birth, Sinless life, Miraculous ministry, Substitutionary Atoning Death, Bodily Ressurection, Triumphant Assencion and Abiding Intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ and his personal, visible, bodily return in power and glory as the blessed hope of all believers (Isa. 7v14, Matt1v23, Heb7v26, 1Pet2v22, Acts 2v22, 10v38, 2Cor 5v21, Heb 9v12, Luke 24v39,1Cor,15v4, Acts 1v9, Eph 4v8-10, Rom 8v34, Heb 7v25, 1Cor 15v22-24, 51-57, 1Thess 4v13-18, Rev 20 v1-6.

4. We believe in the fall of man, who was created pure and upright, but fell by voluntary transgression, (Genesis 1v26-31, 3v1-7, Rom 5v12-21.)

5. We believe in salvation through faith in Christ, who according to the Scriptures, died for our sins, was buried and was raised from the dead on the 3rd day, and that through his blood we have Redemption , (Titus 2v11, 3v5-7, Rom 10v8-15, 1Cor 15v3-4) This experience is also known as the new birth, and is instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit upon initial faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, (John 3v-6, James 1v18, 1Pet 1v23, 1John 5v1.)

6. We believe that all who have truly repented and believed in Christ as Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptised by immersion in water, (Matt 28v19, Acts 10v47-48, Acts 2v38-39).

7. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an enduement of the believer with power foreservice, the essential, biblical evidence of which is the speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, (Acts 1v4-5, 8, 2v4, 10v44-46, 11 v 14-16, 19v6).

8. We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of Christ in the Church today, (1Cor 12v4-11, Eph 4v7-16).

9. We believe in the holiness of life and conduct in obedience to the command of God. (1Peter 1 v14-16, Heb 12v14, 1Thess 5v23, 1John 2v6).

10. We believe that the deliverance from sickness, by Divine Healing ia provided for in the Atonement, (Isa 53v4-5, Matt 8v16-17, James 5v13-16).

11. We believe that all who have truly repented and believe in Christ as Lord and Saviour should regularly participate in Breaking of Bread, (Luke 22v14-20, 1Cor 11v20-34).

12. We believe in the bodily ressurection of all men, the everlasting conscious bliss of all who truly believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and the everlasting conscious punishment of all whose names are not writen in the Book of Life. (Dan 12v2-3, John 5v 28-29, 1Cor 15v22-24, Matt 25v46, 2 Thess 1v9, Rev 20v10-15)

Wow lots of stuff to take in, again looking into all the fundementals of what my denomination believes has really blessed me! It's good to get back to the basics and remember why it is we believe what we do, and how amazing God is!! :)

fabulous song!!! :)

Did you rise the sun for me?
Or paint a million starts that I might know your majesty?
Is your voice upon the wind?
Is everything I've known marked with my maker's fingerprints?

Breathe on me
Let me see your face
Ever I will seek you

CHORUS:
'Cause all you are is all I want, always
Draw me close, in your arms
Oh God, I wanna be with you

Can I feel you in the rain?
Abandon all I am to have you capture me again
Let the earth resound with praise
Can you hear as all creation lives to glorify one name?

Breathe on me
Let me see your face
Ever I will seek you

waiting patiently

I just feel the need to write about what I have read today in God's word about waiting for things. My children say they cant wait for our holidays in 7 wks time. They wait for birthdays and christmases and plan ahead in exitement. Even weekends to see what they can do. Throughout our lives we have to wait for things, society makes things easier though, well for a lot of things we dont have to wait, such as purchases, we can just get a store or credit card and away we go. But for other things, we cant do anything but wait, for a job or a promotion in a job, for a house, for a patner to share our lives with , to marry, a baby, a healing of an illness. Waiting can be hard!

It's frustrating to wait, we want answers and what we are waiting for to happen now, we see others around us with what we desire and think what about me. And we ask God, "where's mine, what about me?" Just as children do if they see one having something good without the other. We are God's children and he loves us, the hard lesson for us all to learn is God' timing is not ours.

Look at Abram, him and his wife, they followed God and obeyed whatever he told them to do, unfailingly. He is a perfect example of waiting. When God told him to leave where he was at, he did. In chapter 12 his promise from God was that he would be made into a great nation, that he would be made great and a blessing, that God would look after him. Again in chapter 15 God shares again his covenant with Abram, and Abram asks him how can this be as he has no heir, God tells him he will have a son of his own, and that his offspring will be as the stars. and Abram believed him.

Yet we see in chapter 16, that he starts to doubt, well he must do, or he wouldn't of tried to sort the problem out for himself. Sarai his wife, told him to go and sleep with their maidservant Hagar, so he did and they had a child called Ishmael. But by doing this didn't solve any problems just created more. Sarai became jealous and mistreated Hagar, who fled. An angel appeared to Hagar and basically told her to go back to Sarai and submit and that God would look after her. But also that Ishmael, would be against everyone and everyone against him.

So Abram went from waiting on God and trusting to trying to sort things out for himself and making more of a mess. What are we waiting for in our lives? What makes us complete, whats missing, or do we feel thats missing? Will we become desperate just like Abram and try and seek the things we desire ourselves? Its easy to fall into the trap of being self sufficient and especially in the world we live in. But it is so much harder to wait on God and be patient. It's not all doom and gloom though so come on and cheer up :) God has a plan for us all, just like Abram, who later became Abraham and had his promise his child his nation. (Other scriptures with Abrahams promise, Romans 4 v 13-18 and Galations 4 v 21-23) God has a plan for us, he loves us dearly he is our father in heaven. We just have to seek his face, and live our lives for him, and trust in him completely. God is faithful and will keep his promises to us, we just may have to wait a little longer than we'd like to. But my point is it's better to wait and have what God has in store for us, than possibly ruin ours or someone elses lives as we try and take matters into our own hands.

My testimony is a perfect example of me trying to take matters into my own hands, I turned my back on God, and all things good, and tried to do things in my own strength. All I wanted was someone to love me, as I am, a partner a family of my own. The man I ended up with against the advice of all around me, turned out to be a real bad person, who treated me pretty bad. I had real ruff time and a lot of bad things happened to me. I saw my sister, with her husband that adored her, with her little blonde haired handsome baby and I wanted the same. Why couldn't I? And even though I was away from God at the time, when this hapened I cried out to God at the unfairness of my situation. Why me? But God had a plan for my life, I can see that now and yes it's in God's timing not our own. God sent my sister to me, that was his timing, I needed her at that precise moment, she came. Looking back I see that God has turned me from something ugly and hurt and in sin, to something beautiful in him and through him. I now have my husband who I love dearly, sure we argue sometimes and take eachother for granted but he's mine and I love him loads, he's my best friend, I have my own children 2, and they are just amazing, a real gift us both, I thank God for them, and I love them so much sometimes it hurts. A song I've found, well has been given to me from a friend, Superchick, beauty from pain. That's what God my father has done for me, turned my situation around. In Isaiah 61 v 3 "To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes."God had a plan and still has a plan for me, and he has one for you also. Just dont give up seeking his face, keep looking up to the hills to the Lord for he is your help and strength. (Psalms somewhere:)) Seek the Lord, Matthew 7 v 7, "Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. v8, For everyone that asks receives, he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks the door will be opened to you."

John 15 v 5 , " Apart from me you can do nothing, v7 "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you."

Another example of God answering prayer regarding a child is in 1 Sammuel chapter 1, where Hannah is also desperate for a child and cries out to God, and God answers her prayers. There are many throughout the bible.

Jeremiah 29v11-13, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart". See it says in the bible that God has a plan for us, he wants to prosper us and not harm us, we have a hope and a future from God, he listens to us when we call out to him. Seek his face today not the worlds, not your own devices but God's face, seek him with all your heart, let him be the soure of your significance. :D Love ya Lord xxxx

We are made in Gods image:)

I have a new bible, a gift from my dear husband, a womens devotional, thankyou dearest awww:) Anyways I have decided to read it from front to back, so have started at the very beginning, a very good place to start lol. In Genesis the first book in the bible, see I know that much. Genesis chapter 1, wow what an amazing chapter, how God created the heaven and the earth and everything in it. He also made man and woman and the devotional for this chapter is based on Genesis 1 v 27, "God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female God created them". We know this scripture, but really do we think of it's significance and meaning like really. The devotional begins with setting the scene at Eden, and the woman at the water gazing at her reflection, in wonder at how she looks. Then it goes on to say how image is such an issue in the world today, and how the media looks upon image. Image is so important in the world that we live, we all as the celebrities do, (but not as extreme I hope), seek perfection. We hate the way we look, our height, weight, hair, eyes, face, other body parts. Well get the scripture, how can we complain, when God the original designer, has made us in his image. He is our designer, he made us, as well as the moon, sun, stars, birds, animals, trees, flowers, etc.etc. He made us! How amazing is our God, how awesome are his works, we thank him for his creation, but do we thank him for how he made us?

Other scriptures related to image, Psalm 139v14 "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful I know that full well." A scripture I learnt at sunday school, we should praise God for our creation, for how we are made. We know and can see in the world around us, his works of wonder, the hand that made all things. We sing the hymn, Oh Lord my God when I in awesome wonder, consider all the works thy hand hath made. How great thou art! Thankyou Lord for making me. me. As I am.

2 Corinthians 3v18, "And we, with unveiled faces, all reflect the lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness, with every increasing glory which comes from the Lord who is the spirit". I read this scripture a few years ago and it blessed me then, I shared with my house group how it blessed me, later I threw away the notes, later again I was sorry to have thrown them away, as I could not remember where in the bible this passage was. So today I thank God once again for using this verse to bless me. To reflect God's glory, a reflection, is a mirror image, an exact resemblance of what is being reflected. This is what got me all exited the first time around reading this passage. If I can reflect God's image, wow! If people can see God in me, a mere glimpse is awesome, but a reflection is just truly mind boggling! We are new creations, we are being transformed into his likeness. We are works in progress, he is the potter as we sing and read, we are the clay, he makes and molds us into his likeness. Thankyou Lord for being the potter in my life. You hold me in the palm of your hand, and mold me amen.

Collossians 1v15, "He is the image of the invisible God, the first born over all creation." He as in Jesus is the image of his father God. We are made in Gods image, how amazing are these facts, how awesome that God would make us and his one and only son, in his image.

I am blessed, and thank the Lord for all his works, his creation, including how he made me. My aim into how to put this word into action, is to not complain about my appearance, my weight, height etc.. God made me me, he is God that knows all things, the beginning and the end, the Godhead 3 in 1, the father of all creation, and he made me. Thankyou Lord! You are truly amazing!:D

Worship

Worship. What is it? An act of sacrifice, an offering to God. How do we do it? With singing, reading his word, with words in prayer, with our lives. Why should we worship? Because God wants us to,and he deserves our worship, for all that he has done for us. What is God's view on worship? He wants us to surrender all to him. What does worship mean to me? Taking time out to spend with my God. For the last week I have been looking at worship, I luv worship times at our church we sing some amazing songs to God with really powerful and meaningful words. But I've learnt that worship is not only for church on Sundays, that it is something that God wants us to do as often as possible, that it isn't just about singing songs and that true worship can really affect our walk with God and our daily lives.
That God wants all of our lives not just the parts that we are willing to hand over. Just like when God asked Abraham to sacrifice Issacc. He tested his faith to see if he was awilling to sacrifice his most prescious possession. What are the Issaccs in my life, until I rid of them how can I worship God freely and totally in my life?

Today I cant worship God enough, I have had an easy morning, the kids were good going to school, we were on time, I've done my cleaning job, the house is clean, I'm meeting a friend from work for lunch so all's good! So it is easy for me to praise, to sing songs to God and pray to him, because I feel I want to as I'm having a blessed day :). But when I am not having such a good day, if the kids have played up, forgotten something to take to school, I'm late, it's raining, etc... You get my drift? Then it's not so easy to praise is it, but it's at those very times that if we only praised instead of complaining or arguing that God can uplift us and our day wont seem quite so bad after all.

Our whole lives are worship to God also, how we are as individuals. Do we do our very best in all we do? Because we should, as this is a part of our worship, being pleasing to God. We can worship God at church at home anywhere we like, but God does insist that as well as having private times of worship, that together to worship as a church. In the back of my bible it says, "Hearing others worship, encourages others to worship, which gives more power to the praise given to God, and that we are to focus on God alone not the musicians, or others around us. "

A couple of scriptures on worship. 1Chronicles 16v29, "Ascribe to the Lord, the glory due his name, bring an offering and come before him, worship the Lord in the splendour of his holiness."

Psalm 95v6, "Come let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our maker." The whole of this chapter is about praising God, it's brilliant. About giving him praise and thanks, singing for joy, for our salvation, with thanksgiving, with music and songs. It says that God is our great king, above all gods, that the sea, earth adn mountains are his, that we are his flock and he cares for us and that we shouldn't harden our hearts to his word. Amen!!

Mathew 2v2, "The wise men came to worship Jesus".

John 4v24, "Jesus says that God should be worshipped in spirit and in truth."

Romans 12, I love this chapter, here we see what I said earlier about our lives being a worship to God. The chapter starts off talking about us being living sacrifices to him, as I said in an earlier blog, surrendering all to him. We must offer our bodies to God holy and pleasing, this is a spiritual act of worship. We are not to conform to the world or evil, we are RENEWED, TRANSFORMED, amen! We are not to test God's will, but be pleasing to God and approving, humble also, as one body with different gifts and uses. The next part of this chapter speaks of love, that we are to be sincere, to hate evil and cling to what is good, to be devoted to eachother, to have zeal and joy, to serve God and eachother. We are to pray, be faithful, help those in need, share what we have. Bless those that curse us, mourn with the mourners, rejoice with those rejoicing. We are not to be conceited, not to seek revenge and do right infront of all, and overcome evil with good. Wow what a chapter, really blessed me!!! As well as that it has challenged me greatly!!

Hebrews 10v25, "From v 19 on I've read and again it is words of encouragement an blessing and challenging. We are to persevere, with confidence, we can enter the holy place Amen! Again it says we are to be sincere, with full assurance of faith, with hearts cleansed, bodies washed!!! Woop Woop! Thankyou Jesus! We must hold unswervingly onto the hope we profess, for he that has promised is faithful!! Amen!! We are to spur one another on, and not give up meeting together, and to encourage eachother.

Lord i praise you and thankyou for all that you are and all that you mean to me, I want my life to be a living sacrifice to you. I love you Lord and praise your holy name, for you are worthy to be praised. Help me to worship you all the time, no matter what is going on in my life, for you deserve the highest praise, you are my God and king, my master and my friend, my everything.!!! Luv ya heaps you are amazing God!! xxxx

To finish my worship blog I will share some of my fav worship songs with you happy readers!!

Living in him Surrendering all to God

Looking again at living and moving in God, as well as praying and reading our bibles, we need to surrender to God. When we become christians we are new creations amen! Our pasts are forgiven , all our sins are washed away! But we need to change our lives and live as new creations and beings and a part of this is surrendering ourselves to God. I read in Luke 18 about the rich young ruler who had everything and was a good man, he missed the most important thing tho, he wasn't prepared to give anything up for Jesus.

When I first came back to God, I found it hard to let go of my hurts and bitterness, and to forgive those that had hurt me. This I needed to do to move on in my relationship with God. It's not just about our services and belongings, its our thoughts and our mind, our hurts, our frustrations and worries. We sing sometimes in our church, "your eye is on the sparrow and your hand it comforts me, from the ends of the earth to the depths of my heart, let your mercy and strength be seen". His eyes can see everything and he knows everything about us and he wants us to hand over all to him. Not sure of where it says in the bible, but it says that we must cast all our cares upon him, lay our burdens at his feet. God deserves our all, no holding back, after what he's done for us, the ultimate sacrifice, how can we not surrender all to him.

1 John 8 v 12 says, I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. We have the light of life, he is our life, he's my life without him I am nothing. I can't even begin to imagine life without my savior!! He is my hope, my strength, my peace, my joy, just knowing I have him in my heart, to talk to whenever, that he's in control of everything, that he loves me with no conditions or strings attatched. He loves me just as I am, just me, lil old sinner me and I am a sinner and I know that and I let him down daily. But I ask his forgiveness daily and I talk to him daily and read his word and just try (strive) to do my best for him.

I want to do more I want to tell people abut him and it's so hard!! In our house groups we're doing a new series about reaching the lost and telling others about God. I'm really exited about this programme and I pray that opportunities will come my way to share his love! This is why I wanna do my blog, to share my thoughts, about me and what I believe, to show others what God has done for me.

Went off on a tangent there (lol) I do that often hehe. God knows my heart! 2 more scriptures to finish, Mathew 16 v 24. If any man comes after me, let him deny himself and follow me, If we lose our life in Christ, we will find life. Amen!! I have found life, I need to deny myself and my selfish desires more and do what God wants and has planned for my life.

Hebrews 12 v 9, Moreoever, we have all had human fathers, who have disciplined us and we have respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the father of our spirits and lives. Submit handover surrender all to God, another step closer to really living and moving in him. Hey I'm getting there. Amen!!

10 Guidelines from my God

An email i got sent 2 me this week!
Ten Guidelines From God

Effective Immediately,
Please be aware that there are changes YOU need To make in YOUR life. These changes need to be Completed in order that I may fulfill My promises To you to grant you peace, joy and happiness in This life. I apologize for any inconvenience, But after all that I am doing, this seems veryLittle to ask of you. Please, follow These 10 guidelines

1. QUIT WORRYING
:
Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit And worry. Have you forgotten that I am here To take all your burdens and carry them for you? Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little Thing that comes your way?

2. PUT IT ON THE LIST
:
Something needs done or taken care of. Put it On the list. No, not YOUR list. Put it on MY To-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care Of the problem. I can't help you until you turn It over to Me. And although My to-do-list Is long, I am after all... God. I can take care Of anything you put into My hands. In fact, If the truth were ever really known, I take
Care of a lot of things for you that you never Even realize.

3. TRUST ME:

Once you've given your burdens to Me, Quit trying to take them back. Trust in Me. Have the faith that I will take care of
All your needs, your problems and your trials. Problems with the kids? Put them on My list.
Problem with finances? Put it on My list. Problems with your emotional
roller coaster For My sake, put it on My list. I want to Help you. All you have to do is ask.

4. LEAVE IT ALONE:

Don't wake up one morning and say, "Well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think I can handle it from here." Why do you think You are feeling stronger now? It's simple. You gave Me your burdens and I'm taking Care of them. I also renew your strength And cover you in my peace. Don't you Know that if I give you these problems back, You will be right back where you started? Leave them with Me and forget about Them. Just let Me do my job.

5. TALK TO ME:

I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what was making you crazy. Forget the worry and the fretting because You know I'm in control. But there's one Thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't Forget to talk to Me - OFTEN! I love YOU! I want to hear your voice. I want you to Include Me in on the things going on in your life. I want to hear you talk about your friends And family. Prayer is simply you having A conversation with Me. I want to be your Dearest friend.

6. HAVE FAITH:

I see a lot of things from up here that you Can't see from where you are. Have faith in Me that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me; You wouldn't want the view from My eyes. I will continue to care for you, watch over you, And meet your needs. You only have to trust Me. Although I have a much bigger task than you, It seems as if you have so much trouble just Doing your simple part How hard can trust be?

7. SHARE:

You were taught to share when you were Only two years old. When did you forget? That rule still applies. Share with those who are Less fortunate than you. Share your joy with Those who need encouragement. Share your Laughter with those who haven't heard any in Such a long time. Share your tears with those Who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith With those who have none.

8. BE PATIENT:

I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime You could have so many diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children, Change jobs many times, learn many trades, Travel to so many places, meet thousands Of people, and experience so much. How can You be so impatient then when it takes Me A little longer than you expect to handle
Something on My to-do-list? Trust in My Timing, for My timing is perfect. Just Because I created the entire universe in Only six days, everyone thinks I should Always rush, rush, rush.

9. BE KIND:

Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do, but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for My sake. I created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if you were all identical. Please, know I love each of your differences.

10. LOVE YOURSELF:
As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created by me for one reason only -- to be loved, and to love in return. I am a God of Love. Love Me. Love your neighbors. But also love yourself. It makes My heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when things go wrong. You are very precious to me. Don't ever forget.....

I hope that you will be blessed by this and will share it with others.

Touch someone with your love.
Rather than focus upon the thorns of life,
smell the roses and count your blessings!

All the wealth in the world could not buy you a friend, nor could it pay for the loss of one.

Living in him re. prayer

I know that as well as reading the bible, which is of course really important as a christian, we need to pray!! In the back of my bible it says this, "The discipline of prayer is the foundation for all spiritual disciplines, it is a central component in worship, the atmosphere surrounding effective bible study and the power behind witnessing". WOW! sounds well deep and meaningful :O (lol). Well to me this says that as a christian prayer is pretty important and vital to our faith and belief. Praying is talking to God, in any relationship, conversation needs to be both ways. not always the case in our house (lol) as I do talk a lot! hehe. Anyway if we want a relationship with God to work how can it if we dont talk to him?

Prayer is our foundation, we all know the song about the foolish man that built his house upon the sand, the wise man built his on the rock. Rock is a good foundation, so is prayer. ( to Jesus of course) We pray in many different ways one is to give worship to God, thanking God for each new day and all that he has done for us. We need to pray for understanding of God's word, for guidance from his Holy Spirit so we can see what God wants us to see. We pray for help and opportunities to witness to others. For the sick and for others to know God. I read Luke 18 about the persistent widow, she never gave up, neither should we when we pray! :)

We need to pray to confess our sins, we all sin and God forgives us we've just gotta ask. For God's will, in our lives, for commitment for blessing, thanksgiving etc... In Mathew chapter 6 v 9-13, it says we shouldn't pray like the hypocrites, just to please eachother, but that we should go somewhere quiet, close the door and pray to God in private, and that he will reward us. Not to use long BIG words, to try and impress him. Hey he's God he would be one hard cookie to impress with BIG words. He knows what we mean, and what we are going to say before we even say it. Then it shows the Lord's prayer, as an example of what to pray. Firstly it starts with praise, then about our needs, then repentance, help, sustenance, deliver us, protect us, and help us to be like him.

In Mathew chapter 7 v 7-13, it says ask, seek and knock. Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened for you. How do we ask God, we pray!! We seek him also through prayer, we knock at his door when we pray, and hey it says he'll open the door. Also it says how much more will your father in heaven give us, when we as parents give our children whatever we possibly can, then treat others as you would want to be treated. WOW great stuff!! I know as a parent that my kids always come first, I go shopping and am constantly looking for them, whatever they need, they get plus some more!!!! So God is our father he loves us even more, so what will he give to us.

We need to pray more, ye sure sometimes in life things worry us and don't always go as we want them to. Sometimes things seem to go completely opposite as to how we plan them. But God has shown me through times past that he is in control!! and he is faithful!! and he is always there!! When we go through tough times its so good to pray, God keeps us from falling and knowing that others are praying for you sustains you and gives peace. Our churches need praying for, eachother, the sick, the lost. If we pray together in one accord, united as one WOW am sure God will move !!

I just wanna burst out in prayer and thank God for his awesomeness!! For being my friend a sinner like me, for laying aside his majesty, giving everything up for me, suffering at the hands of those he created. How much can I praise him, should I praise him. I wanna live in him and move in him and have my being. He truly is amazing and beautiful and wonderful!! Love ya God!!!!!

Living in God

We sang a song in church on Sunday, In him we live and move and have our being. Then shortly afterwards a prophetic word, again about living in God, that God does not want us to merely exist, but to live in him. To have everything he has for us, to trust completely in him, to have a real relationship with him, to know the plans he has for our lives. I just thought WOW, this is great, came away from church blessed, but also challenged. How can I live in him? I mean really live in him not just exist with him by my side, which he is of course, but really live in him as the song says. So this is going to be my quest shall we say to study God's word to pray more to find out for myself how I can truly live in him.

Firstly I know I need to read my bible more, as most people are I'm always busy rushing about, with 2 kidies,a husband, a part time job, with two other little cleaning jobs, all church activities, life is hectic sometimes, which I love don't get me wrong. I love to be busy and on the go, and I'm not trying to make excuses, just saying it as it is. When I do get a minute to myself I chose to do other things and that's the simple truth of it. I put on my lap top, talk to my friends on msn or christian chat, I watch the television, read a book, text or play games on my phone, all these are distractions that I chose to do. But hey I know that I need to change this, I know I need to read the bible more. This is something I believe as a christian I need, to guide me, teach me, strengthen me and most importantly to draw me closer to God himself. In Psalm chapter 1 v 1-3, it says in my understanding, that we will be blessed if we keep away from evil, who delights himself in the Lord, and get this meditates on his word day and night. When we read the bible, we will be just like the trees that are planted by streams of living water. We will have fruit in our season, we will prosper and our leaves will not wither. I know for sure that I don't want to wither up, and I need the refreshing of streams of living water, from God's word. I know that by reading his word more, I have found one way of getting closer to my quest, (lol sounds cheesy). To live in him and move in him.

Salvation and eternal life

Been thinking about my faith whats it all about, what does it really mean to me. Sometimes in life we take things for granted, I know Im saved and can be lazy, (well I am). No need to pray too much, no need to read my bible, know enough about it, Im ok kind of attitude. Well thats me sometimes, and then I started to think, through writing my testimony and reading Gods word, WOW I have salvation and eternal life!!!!

I read Romans chapter 6, as I've said earlier I aint no preacher cant write no sermons, my understanding of God's word is simple. Basically it says that we are dead to sin, because Jesus died we have new life in him, no longer slaves to sin. We have been set FREE!! Death no longer has control over us, we must refrain from sin and offer ourselves to God. As he is the boss man!! We are now slaves to righteousness, we have the benefits of holiness and eternal life. WOOP WOOP! The wages of sin is death, the gift of God our heavenly father is eternal life.

God wants us to have eternal life, it is a gift offered freely to us, if only we decide to take it. A song we sing in church, he came from heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross my debt to pay, from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky. amen.

We KNOW we have eternal life, when we accept Jesus into our hearts, as our Lord and saviour. In 1 john chapter 5, its amazing reading, says if we believe, we are born of God, we are in his family and are joint heirs with Christ. We are to love and obey God, and through our faith have victory over our circumstances and the world around us. We have a testimony in our hearts from God, because of his salvation to us and his gift of eternal life. We have LIFE through his son and in his son. V 13 says I write these things to you who believe in the name of the son of God, so that you may KNOW that you have eternal life.

God is just so amazing and how dare I take for granted what he has done for me, I want to draw near to him, to pray more, to read his word more, to tell others about him more, to give him all the glory with my life. When we look at what we believe and why it's like HELLO, and WOW, what we have is a real gift and a privelige. Im so glad I am his and he is mine and want to spend eternity with him!!

Ma Testimony be warned it's long!!

Were to begin..... well first got saved at age of 9, grew up in a christian home, mam, dad, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, was noisy (lol) but ok like, pretty normal, (ish). Had good pals in the church and really loved God with all my heart! Things started to change when I was about 13, started to hang out with different people, messing about in school, doing things I shouldn't be doing. Lost interest in church, God, my family, school anything good. Instead I was interested in having a good time with friends and just being a bad girl and popular, was life and soul of party, do anything for a laugh. Did lots of stuff I shouldn't of really, no need to go into detail, as doesn't really benefit anyone, just trust me was bad!

Life went from bad to worse, got deeper into the world, my parents left Wales when I was 16, they moved to Scotland. I was in a relationship at the time and refused to go, so stayed with my sister and her hubby. I then moved in with my then boyfriend, who turned out to be a right rat bag! He was a compulsive lier, a two timing cheat and was verbally abusive, which later led to him becoming physically abusive. Great stuff ey!

I'd hit rock bottom really, all I wanted for my life was to have someone of my own, to love me and to be happy. I was angry at my parents for leaving, angry that my sister was happily married with a little baby now, my nephew LJ, (16 now, boy Im getting old!). I had distanced myself from God along time before this, from my family and felt totally isolated and alone, with no where to go and no way out.

Anyway was sat alone on my bed, in my flat in a daze, defeated, after just moments earlier having a knife to my throat, then ding dong, doorbell goes. (no it wasnt avon lady hehe). It was my sister, with baby LJ in tow. I answered the door with a huge sigh of relief, then smiled so pleased to see her. Later i discovered that my sister had come to see me, after a dream the night before, that I needed her help. Now we both believe that this dream was from God, as I did so badly need her! God always sends in the time of need. I whispered to her some of what had happened, as the BF was asleep in the bath. She said grab a bag your coming with me, so I did and we left. Just about half a mile down the road, the BF came after us shouting abuse at us both, even tho lil Lj was there. After realising he was drawing too much attention to himself he went off.

Got to my sisters, we talked and talked, she fed me up, as I'd lost alot of weight, because of lifestyle and stress. She opened her home up to me once again, for this I will always be grateful to her and hubby. We had to get a solicitor and an enjunction with power of arrest was put in place. He never troubled me again after that.

Me and my sis got our relationship back on track, we shared eachothers hurts and learnt a lot from eachother, growing close once again. I love my sister very much, she's always been like a mother to me and my best friend! An old friend from school after hearing what had happened was concerned, and decided to set me up on a date lol, with my now hub Nick. Me and Nick knew eachother quite well and were quite good pals. We would always aggrivate eachother, even fight lol. I always liked him, before we officially went out, we got off with eachother a few times, then wouldn't speak for days hehe, because it was too weird. Well anyway we had our date, he got hammered, met my sis and threw up in her gutter. He sure knows how to make a good impression! (hehe).

We have been inseparable ever since, (awwwwww), I got a shared house near to my sister, my sis nagged us to go to church, I said no, but Nick said yes, (only to impress my sister lol). Anyway we went, it was great, weird at first, felt god speaking to me, as if he was directing every sermon right at me. The same went on for a few weeks, but it was as if I didn't want to let go of my hurts and struggles, I fought for a while longer, but God was melting me a bit at a time. untill in the end I gave in, at my house alone on the bed I just prayed, Lord come back into my life, heal my hurts and he did. I felt peace and joy and cried, a good cry a release of pain and a joy that followed. nick also came back to God shortly afterwards and we soon got married and had our daughter, (now 13, wow I am old!). We also have a son hes now 11. And God is good!

One scripture that sticks out to me throughout my walk with God is John 15, the vine and the branches. Im no great preacher, have a simple faith, but I love the Lord and his word. He is my vine, I am his branch and I know that as long as I remain attatched to him, I have true life and I can talk to him whenever and he will see me ok. He loves me he died for me, he wants me to spend eternity with him and I love him lots! Hes a friend of sinners, he is the bright and morning star, he is my everything.

Why make this blog

After reading many of my fellow ccuk friends blogs I have felt encouraged to write my own. I feel this is a way of spreading God's love and word and to maybe encourage others, (hope so) as i share about my life and testimony. It's also about giving God the glory in all things, which he so totally deserves 100 %.
